1. Tenant reports maintenance issue.
2. Letting agent issues the job out to a handful of contractors.
3. Contractors typically don’t want the smaller jobs, therefore, are slow to respond or offer an inflated price.
4. Letting agent has to chase contractors for a price for the job.
5. Letting agent then takes the quote from the contractor, adds a mark up, and offers an inflated quote to the landlord.
7. If the landlord opts for the letting agents price, they are paying over the odds. If they opt for getting their own quotes, they are just adding time to the already extended period where the original maintenance issue hasn’t been resolved.
8. Letting agent then instructs the contractor to go ahead and has to wait until the contractor has availability.
9. Job is then completed.

1. Tenant reports maintenance issue.
2. A Sigma Stays maintenance operative attends to the property right away to price up the work.
3. The quote is issued to the landlord based on no mark ups, and issued as a fixed fee for the job.
4. Landlord provides instruction to proceed.
5. Job is then completed.
